UK watchdog prepares for crackdown on data misuse
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is gearing up for the introduction of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by hiring more investigators and lawyers.
The ICO will have the ability to impose fines of up to €20 million for businesses that don’t comply or have a ‘breach’ – either from human error or a cyber attack – and there’s no doubt that they are going to enforce this new law.
If you want to understand what you need to do to comply then join us at GDPR Conference Europe and hear from leading experts and practitioners.
